We never had a picture together because we never had the chance to meet in person, but somehow, it feels like I’ve known you my whole life.

We’ve been through a lot over the years, including my stubbornness when it came to work, but through everything, you were always patient with me and always believed in me.

One of the memories that will always make me smile is when we were on video calls and you would ask to see the cats one by one, just so you could get an update on how big they had gotten. And every time you introduced me to a client and said, “Jhel is our rockstar,” it always meant more to me than you probably knew.

Thank you for the constant appreciation, encouragement, and affirmation. You always made me feel like I was enough and that I was doing a good job. I only hope that, in some way, I made you feel just as appreciated and supported.

I will miss our “pineapple” whenever we won a new contract, and all the little things that became part of our everyday work and friendship.

Whenever you went on leave or vacation, I would always tell you, “I’ll hold the fort for you.” Everything happened so quickly, and this has all been so much to process.

But Steph, I promise you this: I’ll keep holding the fort for you, from here on out.

Thank you for everything. I miss you more than words can say.
